I don’t think I need to tell you that Valentine’s Day is a busy time for restaurant owners. It’s a hectic day and if you aren’t prepared, your restaurant could end up embarrassing itself — no one wants that. So before the big day rolls around, there are a few questions you need to ask yourself.
Are you stocked up on wine?
Have you decided on your Valentine’s Day specials yet?
Steamed Oysters are a famously romantic dish.
And Kebabs are playful and fun.
Did you know that V-Day falls on a Saturday this year?
For three days you’ll be as busy as worker bees.
So ask yourself — have you stocked up on bar supplies? (Like wine coolers,
or champagne flutes,
or wine glasses?)
It’s incredibly important that your restaurant is clean for the big day.
Seriously, it has to be absolutely spotless. You must become a paragon of cleanliness.
Your sole reason for existing now is to clean.
By the way, have you spoken with your florist and reserved your flowers yet?
You’re going to need a large reserve of napkins, too.
And be honest. Are your tablecloths clean?
Have you prepared your big pep talk with the employees?
If you still haven’t decided what special thing you’re going to do, you should consider a chocolate fountain.
Or maybe make heart-shaped eggs for brunch.
Or a heart-shaped cake.
Or just get a heart-shaped ice sculpture.
You can’t go wrong as long as it’s heart-shaped.
